THANK YOU, VOLUNTEERS!

April is National Volunteer Appreciation Month, and Kiwanis Marketplace Thrift Store is celebrating in a big way! With over 150 dedicated volunteers working to keep the Marketplace running smoothly, we are taking this month to shine a spotlight on the people who make our mission possible—and to welcome even more helping hands into our community.

To kick things off, the Marketplace will host a Volunteer Roundup on Saturday, April 19. New volunteers are encouraged to stop by, learn how they can get involved, and sign up to join our incredible team. All new volunteers who register on this day will receive a $10 Marketplace gift card as a thank-you for stepping up and giving back.

From April 22 through April 26, we will celebrate our current volunteers with a week of appreciation that includes daily lunches, fun giveaways, and raffle prizes. It’s our way of saying thank you to the people who bring energy, heart, and purpose to everything we do. We also host four Volunteer Parties throughout the year.  Our latest was a Volunteer Hoedown, where we had over 125 volunteers and their guests enjoy barbeque, live music, raffles, and games.

“Volunteers are the backbone of Kiwanis Marketplace,” said Alex Perez, General Manager. “Their time, commitment, and passion make it possible for us to serve our customers, support local organizations, and fund important programs throughout the Desert Foothills community.”

The spirit of volunteerism doesn’t stop at the Marketplace. Local nonprofits across our area thrive because of individuals who give their time to causes that matter. This April, Kiwanis Marketplace encourages everyone to find a way to serve, whether it’s at our store or any of the many community organizations in need.
