Celebrating 12 Years of Giving Back with Week-Long Anniversary Celebration and New Sunday Hours
The Kiwanis Marketplace is celebrating 12 incredible years of serving the Desert Foothills community with a week-long anniversary celebration, exciting daily sales, and an exciting new chapter that makes shopping and donating even more convenient.
From Tuesday, August 18, through Sunday, August 23, shoppers are invited to join the celebration with a different special sale each day. Throughout the week, customers will discover exceptional bargains on furniture, home décor, clothing, collectibles, artwork, and countless one-of-a-kind treasures while supporting a mission that gives back to the community.
The festivities will culminate on Monday, August 24, when the Kiwanis Marketplace staff and dedicated volunteers gather for a festive Western-themed celebration honoring the people who make the Marketplace possible.
“Reaching 12 years is an incredible milestone,” said Marketplace General Manager, Alex Perez. “Our volunteers are the heart of everything we do. Their dedication, generosity, and countless hours of service allow us to support the Kiwanis Club of Carefree’s mission of improving the lives of children and strengthening our community. This celebration is our opportunity to thank them for everything they do.”
As part of its 12th anniversary, the Kiwanis Marketplace is also excited to announce that it will now be open on Sundays, giving shoppers another opportunity to browse for treasures and making it even easier for the community to donate gently loved items.
Beginning Sunday, August 2, the Marketplace will be open:
Sundays | 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The additional shopping day also provides donors with another convenient time each week to drop off quality donations that help stock the Marketplace and support Kiwanis programs benefiting local youth and families.
Over the past 12 years, the Kiwanis Marketplace has become far more than a thrift store. It has grown into a community gathering place where shopping, donating, and volunteering all work together to make a meaningful difference. Every purchase and donation helps fund programs and projects that improve the lives of children and families throughout the Desert Foothills area.
